Eric Clapton: Mean Old World - - (Table view)

Other recordings of Mean Old World:

The "Crossroads" version is an accoustic duet with Duane Allman. Both play slide in open G tuning. It is an "outtake" from the "Layla sessions", where Eric Clapton and Duane Allman were jamming in the studio. As often, it ends up as two guitarist playing at their very best - but too often it does not fit the concept of the record and is not released. It was first issued in the "Crossroads" collection.

(So far, I have not listened to the "Blues" version of the song as close as I have to, to make any further comments.)
