As always when we are playing in the key of E, the B7 gives us some challenges. In the arrangement above, I have been faithful to the shuffle throughout the piece. But you do not have to do that. You may prefer to play the B7 as it is written to the right. It is easier to play, and it will often sound better. This is the way Eric Clapton usually plays when he is playing acoustic blues in E. If he can, why should not we do it? If you play this B7, then you continue with A7 as you played in bar 5 and 6, you do not go up to 5th, 7th and 9th fret.
