You will find various information for each song listed. It may be in depth comments on the recording of the song (but there at not too many of these). You may find reference to CDs including the recording, books and videos where it is included, information on guitar tuning, key, chord progressions, etc. But for some, you will find nothing but the title. It all depends on how much information I have on this specific recording. (You can help me improve this by sending information.)

"Compositions" are only listed when they are recorded by other artists than the composer or when there is no reference to a specific recording (and "recording artist" is given as "Standard".)

Ruben Delgado was born in Alamagordo, New Mexico. Not having access to music programs when he was young, he din't begin to play the guitar until his early teens. However, he was always fascinated with music as he was growing up. As a child, he was exposed to a variety of different musical styles through his travels. Growing up in a military family, he lived in New Mexico, Texas, California and England. His strongest impression of music during his early years was through his father's playign of Mexican Music on the harmonica. Inspired by the Beatles to take up the guitar during his teens, Ruben played in a variety of bands and performed music from rock to folk. Although he enjoyed the music of great artists such as Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel, he was not challenged by playing only accompaniment. After hearing a recording of Andres Segovia, he turned his attention to classical guitar. After immersing himself for years in classical guitar literature, Ruben began exploring the rich treasure of Mexican music. He has scored countless arrangements on Mexican folk and popular songs and has composed numerous solos in that genre. Ruben currently lives in Fresno, California and teaches English and computers at the high school level. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in music, a Multiple Subjects teaching credential, a Language Development Specialist crediential, and has also completed a double Master's degree in Reading and English as a Second Language. He is currently studying to become a Reading Specialist.
